We are framing the walls for the kitchen that  we will move the current stick and tarp kitchen into. It has been our kitchen for 8 yrs and served us well, but the current kitchen is not cleanable or safe from rain, heat or cold.
We built the frames on the floor , then lifted them into place, sometimes the top had to be lead into place first because of the angle of the ceiling.
On this side we built part of the frame on the floor and finished the frame out in place because it was too massive for us to put into place and framing around the windows needed to be more exact than we could do on the floor.
The simplest way we found to secure the wood frame to the metal frame was with metal brackets, it worked very well.
